I know that this suffering makes sense

I know that this suffering makes sense

Archbishop Mokrzycki mentions that John Paul II had passion spirituality. And, that every day, literally and figuratively, he stood under the cross and suffered with Christ. As Our Lady taught him. He learned everything from Her, says the former Papal secretary. Entrustment, sensitivity, humility. This is also why the Holy Father has always looked at this cross through the prism of the resurrection. There is suffering and death, but only so that there can be a resurrection. This is the plan. I suffer very much with the one I love. But, I know that this suffering makes sense. For it leads to salvation. Many times he talked about it during meetings with the sick. He was sick himself; he explained to his brothers in the disease that it was necessary to fight. "It is right to fight sickness – he said. Because health is a gift of God. At the same time, it is also important to be able to interpret God's plan when suffering knocks at our door. For us believers, the key to the interpretation of this mystery is the Cross of Christ. The Incarnate Word himself met our weakness by taking it fully upon himself on Golgotha. Since that moment, suffering has acquired a meaning that makes it extremely valuable.” As from that moment it became part of the plan of salvation. We suffer with Christ. And only then, as John Paul II explains, our suffering gain value. For it becomes part of Christ's suffering. Not just on Good Friday. Every day. In the cross, the Pope also counseled to seek comfort.
