On Wednesday, June 4, our Foundation hosted an important meeting in Rome, reinforcing our close and ongoing collaboration with Friends of John Paul II Vatican Foundation circles worldwide.
We had the honor of welcoming Ms. Bogusława Doerr, President of the Friends of John Paul II Vatican Foundation of California, accompanied by Ms. Hanna Rychlewska.
During her multi-day visit, Ms. President Doerr first met with our Administrator, Msgr. Dariusz Giers, at the Foundation’s headquarters near the Vatican. On this occasion, Msgr. Giers celebrated a Holy Mass at the Tomb of St. John Paul II in St. Peter’s Basilica, offering prayers for the California Friends Circle.
Later, Ms. Doerr visited our Pilgrim House and the Center for Documentation and Research of the Pontificate of John Paul II, both located at Via Cassia 1200 in Rome. After meeting with the directors of these institutions—Fr. Mateusz Wójcik and Fr. Prof. Andrzej Dobrzyński—our guests toured the St. John Paul II Museum and engaged in discussions with Fr. Tomasz Podlewski, Director of our Office of Media and Events. The meeting focused on future collaboration with the California Circle and new initiatives for the younger generation in the United States.
As a church-based non-profit organization, our Foundation grants scholarships to over 100 students annually, preserves the legacy of St. John Paul II, and supports education and culture. These projects are made possible solely through the generosity of our donors.
