Thanks to the generosity of our Benefactors, another group of our scholarship recipients has successfully completed their studies at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, after five years of residence and formation at our Student House in Lublin.
On Saturday, May 31, 2025, a farewell event was held at the John Paul II Foundation House in Lublin for the students who completed their fifth year of studies. The gathering began at 6:00 p.m. with a joint Eucharist celebrated by the director, Fr. Jan Strzałka. In his homily, he encouraged the students to express gratitude to God and the Foundation’s benefactors for the years of formation, education, and friendship they had received as this year’s graduates.
The farewell continued in the main hall, where the fourth-year students had prepared a themed celebration inspired by the 1920s and the world of The Great Gatsby. The evening included touching memories, student-life anecdotes, and personalized T-shirts featuring authentic and personal slogans designed especially for each graduate.
The graduating class also expressed their heartfelt appreciation, offering sincere thanks to the House's leadership and the entire Foundation, whose support over the past five years enabled their intellectual, spiritual, and social growth in Poland.
The celebration concluded joyfully with a barbecue gathering, filled with warm conversations, music, and a deep sense of community that will remain in the hearts of our scholars for years to come.
Several years of spiritual formation and academic achievement have been made possible thanks to the support of our scholarship program by people of goodwill. We are proud of our graduates and deeply grateful to every person who contributed—no matter how modestly—to the fulfillment of our mission.
We also extend our gratitude to the SAC priests, Fr. Jan Strzałka and Fr. Robert Ptak, who have faithfully led our Student House in Lublin for years.
